Introduction to Reiki for Animals
The biological diversity of Earth is our teacher. Within Nature are revelations for solving problems and accomplishing tasks. We are one with Nature, and if we understand that relationship, wonderful things unfold for us.
Animals are here to help us. They are often seen as absorbing our dis-ease whether that is a blue mood or an illness. How often have you noticed your pet sticking close to you when you aren’t feeling well? It is instinctual for animals to do this because it is their “job” so to speak, the role they came into this life to carry out. Souls in the form of animals are here to experience love in a different way through their relationships with others, people and their environment.
Working with animals and Reiki can open our world to new insights and authentic joy and re-engage us with that innate connection with animals and nature we were born with. One of the biggest “aha moments” I have experienced through working with animals and Reiki was learning that animals have roles in life just as we do. Just as the middle child is the peacemaker, or the youngest the sparkle of the family, as you work with different animals you may see some of this as well. Some bring about calm in their family while others infuse fun or joy. I have worked with animals who are merely a bridge between a person and some experience or event that will take them to another level of personal growth.
Whatever your experience with animals is, take note of what stands out because there is always a message.
Reiki Principles
Just for today I will give thanks for my many blessings.
Just for today I will not worry.
Just for today I will not be angry.
Just for today I will do my work honestly.
Just for today I will be kind to my neighbor and every living thing.
